Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a lead wire cutting edge for electric parts which can prevent peeling-off of plating during the cutting process of a lead wire and avoid generation of defective electric parts.
CONSTITUTION: A cutting edge 30 is lowered in the direction of an arrow 90 and cuts a lead wire 4 at its tip end part 32 (Fig. B). And it gives pressure in the direction of the arrow 90 and bends the lead wire 4 (Fig. C) to obtain a complete IC product. Here, projection parts 36 are formed at the ends of both inclined parts 34 of the cutting edge 30. Thus, when the lead wire 4 is being pressurized, only these projection parts 36 are brought into contact with the lead wire 4, and friction is not generated between the whole faces of the inclined parts 34 and the lead wire 4 to peel off plating.
