PURPOSE: To provide a stable leaf coil of little scattering in distributed capacity, by setting mutually different widths for the adjacent metal leaf layers of the coil in which a plurality of metal leaves are wound together with an interlayer insulator.
CONSTITUTION: A rolled no-oxygen copper leaf with a thickness of 10W50μ, for example, is cut off to make two metal leaves 3, 4 equal in thickness but different in width. An insulator 5 of larger width than these metal leaves is interposed between them so that the leaves are overlapped with each other. The insulator 5 determines the width of the gap between the metal leaves 3, 4. To increase distributed capacity, the insulator 5 is made of a polyester film or the like whose thickness is reduced as much as possible or set at about 6W10μ, for example, and whose dielectric constant is large. This results in providing a stable leaf coil of little scattering in distributed capacity.
