This leakage inspection apparatus has a measuring room 1 opened and closed by power, wherein the measuring room 1 has a sealing function of keeping air-tightness to the outside when it is closed, and includes a means for blocking up a hole or an opening part bored in a body 2 to be inspected, a microphone 3 receiving ultrasonic waves is fitted to the vicinity of a wall surface facing on the opening part or the hole of the measuring room, a gas supply pipe 8 for supplying gas to the inside of the measuring room is put in the connecting state to supply the gas into the measuring room, whereby the external pressure of the body 2 to be inspected can be made higher than the internal pressure of the body 2 to be inspected, The apparatus includes a means for detecting the internal pressure of the measuring room 1, wherein the ultrasonic waves generated when the external gas of the body 2 to be inspected flows into the inside of the body 2 to be inspected are received by the microphone 3, and the intensity of the ultrasonic wave signal received by the microphone 3 is detected to determine whether or not leakage is permissible.
