Abstract:
PURPOSE:To deduce efficiently by adding an empirical rule in which each concept is brought into a subordinate concept when a certain condition is satisfied to the partial set of a low-order concept to generalize the rule thereby preventing infinite expansion of the space of the rule. CONSTITUTION:A storage means 1 stores the conceptional structure and an associated list 2 stores sets [Pk(Ai,Aj)] of the rule. A generalizing means 3 gives a command sorting the content of the associated list 2 with respect to the Pk and Ai at first via a transfer line 32 to the associated list 2 and the sorted Pk (Ai,Aj) is transmitted to the generalizing means 3. The generalizing means 3 collects the Aj of the set of rule havng the same Pk and Aj, gives a request of the set of the Aj to the storage means 1 one by one and receives the set Au and its condition Cu of the corresponding high-order concept. Then the Pk and Aj are sorted similarly and the rule with respect to the Ai is generalized.
