Title:
LEATHER-LIKE SHORT FIBER NONWOVEN FABRIC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3134963
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject nonwoven fabric binding a resin to a short fiber nonwoven fabric in which surface layer part is three-dimensionally interlaced with the inner layer, having a recessed part having a specific depth and binding a fiber in high density and a projected part binding the fiber in low density, free from fuzz and having good forming properties and wear resistance.
CONSTITUTION: A web is prepared by using a short fiber of a polyester fiber, etc., and then three-dimensionally interlaced by using a needle punch and a thermoplastic resin such as acrylic resin in an amount of 5-40wt.% based on the weight of short fiber nonwoven fabric is applied to the one side of the web and impregnated into the side and the impregnated material is dried and pressed at 175°C with heated emboss roll forming a pair together with a paper roll and having leather-like pattern to provide the objective leather-like short fiber nonwoven fabric. This nonwoven fabric consists of a short fiber nonwoven fabric three- dimensionally interlacing the surface layer part 1 with the inner layer part and a thermoplastic resin bonded to the short fiber nonwoven fabric and constructs the surface layer part 1 from leather-like fine continuous pattern and has recessed parts binding constituent fibers in high density and projected parts binding fibers in low density on the surface of the surface layer part 1 and satisfies 0.12≤A/B≤0.55 in the ratio of average depth A of recessed part and average thickness B of nonwoven fabric and has no fuzz on the surface of the surface layer part 1.
