Abstract:

To provide an easy and effective chromaticity adjustment method since the chromaticity of a white LED light source varies for factors, such as a phosphor distribution in a resin and a phosphor particle size, in the LED light source for emitting white light by combining an LED element and a phosphor.

The LED light source includes: the LED element; the phosphor for absorbing one portion of emission from the LED element, converting its wavelength, and emitting light; and a sealing material including the phosphor in a transparent resin. In the LED light source, a sealing material with the phosphor or pigment mixed in a transparent resin is dripped to the LED light source with the sealing material cured, thus changing the chromaticity of the LED light source according to the amount of dripped sealing material and the ratio of the phosphor or pigment in the sealing material and hence adjusting the chromaticity of the LED light source.
