To provide a lens barrel capable of increasing a thrust force generated by a voice coil motor, without increasing the number of parts and the size of an actuator and to provide an imaging apparatus.

The lens barrel includes: a lens holding frame holding a lens moving in an optical axis direction; the voice coil motor driving a fourth group holding frame 10 in the optical axis direction; a fourth group lens barrel 11 holding the voice coil motor; and an imaging element ground plate 12 fixing and holding the fourth group lens barrel 11. The voice coil motor includes: a magnet 17; a first yoke 15 holding the magnet in a part extending in parallel with the optical axis direction; and a quadrangular second yoke 16 disposed in the outer shape of one end of the first yoke. The position of the second yoke 16 is regulated by the fourth group lens barrel 11 and the imaging element ground plate 12.
