To solve the following problems: a long operating part of a manual operation ring in the direction of an optical axis may deform places except a place where reinforcement rings are arranged, and an increase in the plate thickness of the each reinforcement ring and an extension of it in the direction of the optical axis require to ensure a dimension difference between the inside and outside diameters of the reinforcement rings, resulting in hindrance of decreases in the size and weight of the lens barrel, and the formation of the reinforcement rings by cutting a pipe material leads to a manufacturing cost increase.
The manual operation ring for a lens barrel is made of a plastic material. The manual operation ring includes: a first flat portion perpendicular to the optical axis; a second flat portion separate from the first flat portion in the direction of the optical axis; a first reinforcement ring made of a metal material and abutting on the first flat portion; and a second reinforcement ring made of a metal material and abutting on the second flat portion.
