PURPOSE: To make a video camera lighter in weight and to improve operability by using plastics for constituting a stationary barrel contg. a member for guiding a lens group of a variable power system and a lens group for correction to the optical axis direction and a member for supporting said member.
CONSTITUTION: A lens barrel of a video camera is constituted mainly of a stationary barrel 5, a focusing barrel 6, a holder 7, a master A17, a master B18 and a center holder 18. The barrel 5 contains rings 11, 12 for positioning a lens group of a variable power system and a lens group for correcting the aberration, etc. thereof by moving and guiding the lens groups to the optical axis direction and a member for supporting said rings, etc. Lens groups 8aW8e which provide reinforcing effect against deflection and rings 9W12 for positioning or screw parts are provided in the barrel 5 and the barrel 6 and therefore the stationary barrel and if necessary the focusing barrel 6 are constituted of plastics, by which the video camera is made lighter in weight and improve operability.
