Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a lens device for a camera having simple constitution, being excellent in operability and capable of performing the change of focal distance and the housing operation of a lens system by providing a driving means capable of performing the housing operation on the focal distance changing operation and on the extension of the focal distance changing operation of the lens system.
CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a feed screw 19 by which the focal distance of the lens system is changed and which functions as a guiding means guiding the lens system to the housing position on the extension of the change of the focal distance, and a motor 15 functioning as a driving means performing the housing operation on the focal distance changing operation and on the extension of the focal distance changing operation of the lens system by moving the lens system along the screw 19. Three modes, that is, a locking mode inhibiting the photographing operation of the camera, a standard photographing mode performing standard photographing with only a main lens being a photographing lens 3, a telephotographing mode performing telephotographing by extending the main lens to the front part of the camera, and adding a real converter lens to the back part of the camera so as to use it as the photographing lens 3 can be selected by a moving switchable operating member 5 functioning as a selection member for switching the selection of a mode.
