PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable space saving of an installation occupied space around a lens, and improve a performance of a lens drive control.SOLUTION: A lens drive device 1 comprises: a lens frame 2; a support unit 4 that supports the lens frame 2; and drive means 7 that drives the lens frame 2. The lens frame 2 includes a detection coil 13B that detects motion of the lens frame 2 by an induction current to be flowed by a movement of the lens frame 2.
