PURPOSE: To fix and recover a lens easily and positively by forming lens fixing material by providing an adhesive layer containing foaming material, at the other face of a polyolefine film with one face having a modified layer formed of an oxidized layer and/or a surface graft polymerized layer.

CONSTITUTION: Lens fixing material is formed by providing an adhesive layer 2 containing foaming material, at the other face of a polyolefine film 1 with one face having a modified layer 11 formed of an oxidized layer and/or a surface graft polymerized layer. The oxidized layer is formed of a corona discharge treated layer, an ultraviolet radiated layer and/or a sputter etched layer, and the surface graft polymerized layer is formed of a polar monomer graft polymerized layer. In the case of applying the lens fixing material to lens polishing, for instance, the adhesive layer 2 is pressure-welded to the non-polished face of a lens 3, and a cast layer 4 formed by fusing low fusing point metal to the modified layer 11 by heating is fixed to a rotary shaft 5. The polished face of the lens 3 is then polished.
