Title:
LENS FIXING MECHANISM FOR RIMLESS SPECTACLES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0933861
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide the lens fixing mechanism of the rimless spectacles which effectively stops a lens from rotating without using pad metal abutting against the peripheral edge of the lens and can be simplified in structure.

The rimless spectacles, having a hinge piece 2 which is connected to the through hole 11 of the lens 11 with a stopper body S and connects a temple to one end 3 with a hinge, employs a structural means which provides the hinge piece 2 with a hole part 21 for inserting the stopper body S, a rotation stop projection part 22 on a surface which abuts when the hole part 21 is brought into surface contact with the through hole 11 of the lens 1, and a rotation stop recessed part 12 nearby the through hole 11 of the lens 11 and then stops the lens 1 from rotating about the hinge piece 2 by engaging the rotation stop projection part 22 of the hinge piece 2 with the rotation stop recessed part 12. Consequently, the number of components is decreased, the machining cost is reduced, and the rimless spectacles in slim appearances can be obtained.
