To provide a lens pressing down type lighting device capable of performing reliable switching operation without impairing appearance at operation even when an integral lens plate is used.
The lighting device is constituted such that a guide pin 22 and a key 26 of the lens plate 18 are slidably engaged/retained in a long groove 24 and a key groove 28 formed on a housing 12. At this time, the lens plate 18 are supported such that a surface P of the housing 12 and a surface R of the lens plate 18 become substantially flush by pressing down restoration force possessed by the pressing down type switches 16a, 16b. Thereby, when one end side of the lens plate 18 is pressed down/operated, the other end side is only rotated as a pivot center and is not displaced and the other end side of the lens plate 18 is not projected from the housing 12. Further, by the keys 26 formed on the left and right ends of the lens plate 18, the lens plate 18 is not twisted even if it is pressed down and the pressing down operation of the pressing down type switches 16a, 16b can be stably performed.
