To provide an instant lettering tape which enables anyone to always carry out transfer without transfer spots.

The lettering tape 10 forms the lettering tape 10 of an integrated layered structure in which a base layer 58, an ink layer 59 and an adhesive layer 60 which generates adhesion when once heated are sequentially stacked. When the lettering tape 10 is selectively heated for image formation by a thermal head 30, a heated part 68 of the image-formed ink layer 59 and a heated part 69 of the adhesive layer 60 are bonded to each other, and the heated part 69 of the adhesive layer 60 is made to generate adhesion. The lettering tape 10 itself is converted to the lettering tape 10 which enables transfer to a transfer target 70. Moreover, an adhesive and ink can be prevented from adhering to the thermal head or a platen roller.
