Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a filter which can prevent plugging, be operated by simple operation, requires short processing time, and has high recovery for erythrocyte by making ζ-potential of the surface of a porous body on the outlet side of blood positive potential and giving static adsorption capacity to leucocyte and a blood platelet to obtain a filter part having high rejection of leucocyte.
CONSTITUTION: In a leucocyte capture filter where blood is forced to inflow to capture leucocyte from the blood, a porous body where the ζ-potential of the surface of the substrate is negative is provided on the blood inlet side, and a porous body where the ζ-potential of the surface of the substrate is positive is provided on the flood outflow side. As a porous body, for example, a sponge-like polyurethane porous body, polyvinylformal, and a porous body made of cellulose fiber or polyester fiber are suitable. As the leucocyte capture filter has excellent leucocyte and blood platelet capture performance, the filter can be reduced in thickness and the filtering time can be reduced.
