To provide a level wound coil (LWC) capable of favorably uncoiling a tube, and to provide a level wound coil package.

In this LWC, a coil 4 formed by winding a tube 1 into a coil in multiple layers with alignment is arranged by, directing the axial direction thereof in the vertical direction. The outermost layer of the coil 4 is fully coiled, or the tube is preliminarily wound around the outside of the lower part of the fully coiled outermost layer, and the tube end of the innermost layer of the coil is pulled upward for uncoiling. Since one or a plurality of layers of resin film 3 are wrapped around at least the lower side of the periphery of the LWC 4, compressing force is applied to the LWC 4 inward from the outside. By this structure, the breakage of the outer layer of the LWC 4 hardly occur, and the tube 1 can be favorably uncoiled to the last.
