Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid opening/closing detection device for a washing machine capable of detecting an open state of a lid even when an opening amount of the lid is small.SOLUTION: A lid opening/closing detection device for a washing machine includes: an opening 12 where laundry is put in/taken out; a lid 13 for opening/closing the opening 12; a magnet 30 disposed in the lid 13; and a magnetic sensor 28 for detecting a magnetic field 30b of the magnet 30 in the opening 12. The magnet 30 is movably fitted to the lid 13, and it is configured so as to face the magnetic sensor 28 when the lid 13 is closed, and moves within a movable range according to the opening movement of the lid 13. Thus, the magnetic field 30b of the magnet 30 moves as greatly as or more greatly than the size of the movement according to the opening movement of the lid 13 when the lid 13 is opened, and the magnetic field 30b changes greatly, so that even a slight opening of the lid 13 can be detected.
