To provide a support system that enables an elderly person to live safely and comfortably.SOLUTION: A life support system for an elderly person is composed of: a device 1 arranged in a home of an elderly person; a smartphone 2 possessed by a family of the elderly person; and a service center 3 communicably connected to a plurality of homes of elderly persons. The device 1 has a function of receiving information from the service center 3, and a function of receiving information transmitted from the smartphone 2 to display it on a screen and generating voice.
