Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obviate a boat davit of conventional construction and simplify an operation for lowering and lifting a lifeboat by cutting out an opening on the outboard part of a boat deck for forming a lifeboat stowing part and constituting a lifeboat suspension mechanism of a which, a shackle, etc., and at the same time, providing a slant guide member in the lifeboat stowing part. CONSTITUTION:The outboard part of a boat deck 9 above an upper deck 8 is cut out to form a lifeboat stowing part A. A boat fall shackle 3 and a wire 4 taken by a winch 5 are provided fore and aft of the said stowing part A to constitute a lifeboat suspension mechanism. An aslant member 2 is provided between the upper deck 8 and the boat deck 9 as a guide for lifting and lowering the lifeboat and strengthening the boat deck 9, thereby obviating the davit of conventional construction and ensuring smooth and easy operations for lowering and lifting the lifeboat.
