This lift storage box is provided with a main body 1 of the storage box having a front door 3 and a top door 4, lift shelf 2 for AV equipment placement disposed inside the main body 1 of the storage box, and lock mechanism E for the top door. Further, the lock mechanism E is provided with a front door open/close sensing member for turning the lock mechanism E to a locked state in the state of closing the front door 3 and for switching the lock mechanism E to an unlocked state by the opening operation of the front door 3.
