PURPOSE: To enable a lifting device to be ascended or descended without being inclined by a method wherein an outer circumferential surface of a winding barrel member is formed with a helical winding groove for guiding a winding-up operation of a hanging member.
CONSTITUTION: An outer circumferential surface 36 of a winding barrel member 33a is formed with a helical winding groove 38 for use in guiding a winding-up operation of a wire (hanging member) 31 and the wire is wound up without generating any overlapping of the wire 31 itself. As a result of guiding of the wire 31 in the helical winding groove 38 of a winding barrel member 33a during winding-up operation of the winding barrel member 33a, it is possible to keep always a constant winding-up state without being overlapped from each other. With such an arrangement as above, it is possible to cause the lifting device to ascend or descend without being inclined.
