PURPOSE: To provide a lifting device for a vehicle capable of performing smooth lifting/lowering actions even if a lifting cylinder supporting a vehicle is tilted by the offset load of the vehicle.

CONSTITUTION: Rectangular tube materials 3 are buried face to face under the floor face, and upper sections of guide tubes 11 are fitted at the upper sections in the rectangular tube materials 3 with pivotal pins 42 of the width direction of a vehicle. Lift cylinders 12 are inserted into the guide tubes 11, and vehicle receiving bases 43 are fitted to them. Plungers 14 are inserted into the lift cylinders 12, and upper sections of the plungers 14 are pivotally supported by upper shafts 15 at the upper section. Brackets 16 are provided on bottom plates 5 in the angular tube materials 3, the lower ends of the cylinders 18 are pivotally fitted by lower shafts 17, the plungers 14 are slidably received at the upper release sections, and the plungers 14 are lifted or lowered by oil pressure. When the offset load is applied to the vehicle receiving bases 43 and the lift cylinders 12 are inclined, the guide tubes 11 are tilted centering on the pivotal pins 42, the gall between both of them is prevented, and smooth lifting/lowering actions are performed.
