To provide a lifting tool that is used when an operator goes up and down a tower body and prevents a child from going up the tower body.
A lifting tool 1A includes a scaffold member 2 on which the operator can put his legs and hands, a support member 3 which supports the scaffold member 2 so that the scaffold member can be open to and closed to a steel tower 10, and a load member 4 which generates a load against force for opening and closing the scaffold member 2. The lifting tool 1A is provided to be opened and closed between a closure position where the scaffold member 2 is closed substantially in parallel with the steel tower 10 and an opening position where the scaffold member 2 is opened substantially horizontally, and the scaffold member 2 is held in the closure position with the load by the load member 4 to prevent a person other than the operator, especially, a child from going up the steel tower. Further, the lifting tool 1A is configured to open the scaffold member 2 to the opening position with force exceeding the load by the load member 4 so that the operator can go up and down the steel tower 10.
