Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a light amplifier capable of having the linearity of a light amplifier of a prior art with the reduced complexity.
CONSTITUTION: A light amplifier utilizing a solid-state laser 2 as an amplifier element. In the case of a prior art a complex compensating mechanism is required to improve the linearity of a light amplifier. In the case of the light amplifier of this invention, similar linearity improvement is achieved not by supply to the solid-state laser 2 from a current source as before but by supply from a voltage source 4.
