Abstract:

To obtain a line neatly aligned to a straight form by eliminating the offsetting, bending, etc., in the sub-scanning direction of a scanning line after joining together.

The light beam scanner, which forms an image by scanning a photoreceptor with light beams from its prescribed position to its end by two writing optical systems by using one deflecting means, is provided with a stepping motor 17 as a means for regulating the beam positions in the sub- scanning direction at one of respective final mirrors 9-1 and 9-2 for introducing the beams of the two writing systems onto a surface to be scanned and an eccentric cam 18 as a means for regulating the inclination of the beam at the other thereof.
