CONSTITUTION: A liq. crystal-contg. resin layer 12 is interposed between transparent flexible films 14, 16, plural transparent row electrodes 201-204 are formed on the film 14 and plural transparent column electrodes 241 are formed on the film 16. At the overlaps of the electrodes 201-204, 241, light transmittance or transparency is varied in accordance with voltage impressed through the electrodes 201-204, 241 forming the overlaps. A dot matrix state is formed on the entire surface of the liq. crystal-contg. resin layer 12 with the overlaps of the electrodes 201-204, 241 as dots so that light transmittance is varied at every dot.
