Abstract:

To provide a light diffusion film that improves masking properties and eliminates texture spots while maintaining luminance required for a surface light source device.

The light diffusion film 10 includes a substrate layer 14, and a light diffusion layer 12 formed on one surface of the substrate layer 14. A pattern where black straight lines are arranged at equal intervals on a translucent member to express a stripe pattern is used, the visible limit of the pattern is between 250 and 350 m, the relative value of peak luminance expressed by (peak luminance of light diffusion film 10)/(peak luminance of substrate layer 14) is 0.4, and the surface of the light diffusion layer 12 has irregularities where an average interval S between local peaks is 12-30 m.
