Abstract:
PURPOSE: To change the brightness of a light emission diode to a great extent when DC voltage is changed by connecting a constant-voltage diode between the light emission diode and the nonstabilized DC source in series.
CONSTITUTION: The nonstabilized DC source 4, current limiting resistor 2, light emission diode 1 and constant-voltage diode 5 are connected with each other in series. The constant-voltage diode 5 is biased by Zener voltage Vz, and the brightness of the light emission diode 1 varies with a change of driving voltage for the diode.
