Abstract:
To provide a light emission diode capable of securing high light emission efficiency even when a direction having the maximum radiant intensity is shifted from a just upper direction of a package.SOLUTION: A light emission diode 10 comprises: a substrate 13; a light emission element 14 mounted to the substrate 13; a sealing member 12d sealing the light emission element 14 in a dome-like manner; and a light reflection surface 11a provided so as to surround the sealing member 12d. Since the light reflection surface 11a is formed by a paraboloidal surface of which an axis is inclined by 8-degree, a part of an inclination degree of one inclination surface opposite to a center of the sealing member 12d is different from that of the other inclination surface. As a result, the maximum paraboloidal direction is directed to the axis of the light reflection surface 11a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
