Abstract:
To provide a light emitting device provided with a light emitting layer almost uniform in thickness, and method for manufacturing the same; and to provide an optical write-in head, an electro-optical device, and an image forming apparatus, equipped with the light emitting device.
A light emitting device array 22 is provided with a plurality of organic EL devices 24, each of them including a pixel electrode 27, a light emitting layer 28, and a cathode 29. The organic EL device 24 is surrounded by a bank 25, and is formed separated from the liquid repellent bank 25b making the bank 25 by a distance of 3 μm or more.
