Title:
LIGHT EMITTING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2006236810
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a light emitting device which consumes a little electric power, provides no uneven brightness but can produce large amount of light emission (brightness).

The light emitting device 10 comprises electron emitters 12 which emit electrons in a shape of a plane, three collector electrodes 14 (a left collector electrode 14L, a center collector electrode 14C, and a right collector electrode 14R) put oppositely to an electron emitter 12, and a phosphor 15 formed to cover each of the collector electrodes 14. The light emitting device applies collector voltage to each of collector electrodes in order of left 14L, center 14C, and right 14R. In this method, electrons are attracted by the phosphor near the collector which is applied collector voltage and collide with it, which results in light emission of the phosphor of this part. The other part of the phosphor emits afterglow.
