This light emitting display device is made to have constitution in which a light emitting part 5 performing colored light emission by receiving ultraviolet rays is provided at the under surface of a position detecting part (touch panel 3) having light transmissivity and the light emitting part 5 is made to emit light in accordance with the output of the ultraviolet rays emitting element 14 arranged at the lower part of the position detecting part and the position detecting part and display parts (for example, a character plate 12 and a liquid crystal display element 18) which are arranged at the lower part of the position detecting part are made to be irradiated and decorated by the emitted light of the light emitting part 5.
