Title:
LIGHT EMITTING DISPLAY AND DRIVING CIRCUIT THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH11327507
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a light emitting display whose power consumption is smaller than before.

In this device and method, light emitting elements E1,1 to E4,4 are connected, to respective intersection positions of anode lines A1 to A4 and cathode lines B1 to B4 which are arranged in a matrix, and either one of the anode lines or the cathode lines is made a scanning line and other lines are made driving lines and the light emitting elements connected to the inter-section positions of the scanning lines and the driving lines are made to emit lights by connecting a driving source to a desired driving line in accordance with the scanning while scanning the scanning lines with a prescribed cycle. Thus, a scanning line which is scanned at a previous time and a scanning line which is to be scanned at a next time are connected in a reset period from a time the scanning of an arbitrary scanning line is completed till the time the scanning is changed over to a next scanning.
