Abstract:

To improve a contrast characteristic while raising light emitting efficiency of a light emitting element (an organic electric field light emitting element, an inorganic electric field light emitting element) and maintaining high luminosity.

In the light emitting element, in which a layer containing a light emitting domain is prepared between a positive electrode 2 and a negative electrode 9 on a substrate 1, the emitted light 11 generated in the light emitting domain is taken out from the negative electrode 9 side, the work function of the positive electrode 2 is 5.0 to 7.0 eV, and the visible light reflectance of the positive electrode 2 is 50% or less.
