Title:
LIGHT EMITTING INDICATOR FOR VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10166936
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To improve visibility of light emitting indicator at the time of lighting by retaining an electroluminescent light emitting element at the outer panel surface of a vehicle, and coloring a back surface electrode in the same color as the outer panel of the vehicle.

An electroluminescent light emitting element is driven by an inverter circuit which outputs an arbitrary AC voltage 15 whose voltage is 80V to 150V, and frequency is 50Hz to 1000Hz. The AC voltage 15 is supplied to a transparent surface electrode 16 and a back surface electrode 18 respectively. The back surface electrode 18 involves a colored layer 17 having the same color as the outer panel of a vehicle, and has an emission layer 20 including luminophors 19, which is sandwiched between the transparent surface electrode 16 and the back surface electrode 18. For example, the luminophor 19 is the substance that is transparent in such a condition as the AC voltage is not applied, and emits an arbitrary color, such as red, yellow, or orange, in such a condition as the AC voltage is applied.
