Abstract:
To provide an air-proof light guide which can propagate high intensity light.
The air-proof seal is made up by using an air-proof material having a cylindrical hole inserted with an optical fiber bundle and filling adhesive in gaps which are not occupied by the optical fiber bundle inside the above cylindrical hole. The gap rate is set to be between 0.25-0.40, and the length of the air-proof section of the optical fiber bundle is made 1.5 times the inside diameter of the hole, and the adhesive used is an epoxy system adhesive.
