Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide device that allows a simple configuration to suppress a light loss when changing sizes of an introduction surface of light of a light guide device and a lead-out surface thereof, and aspect ratios thereof.SOLUTION: A light guide device 1 is configured to: wind one part of a transparent plate 10 introducing light from one end surface 10a or leading out the light therefrom so that one end surface 10a is shaped into a spiral with a winding axis orthogonal to one end surface 10a as a center; and mold the other end part so that a cross-sectional surface is maintained in an approximately rectangular shape. In one end surface 10a and a surface excluding a surface serving as the introduction surface of the light or the lead-out surface thereof, a low-refractive index layer 11 is formed that is lower in a refractive index than the transparent plate or the transparent plate is wound with an interval, an air layer exists that is lower in the refractive index than the transparent plate 10, which in turn a propagation rate of light is maintained.
