PURPOSE: To shorten the rise time to the usage temperature after excitation by providing a light emitting body faced to the opposite face to the clothing contact face of an iron base, and providing a reflecting plate.
CONSTITUTION: A halogen lamp 2 constituting a light emitting body is provided to be faced to the opposite face to the clothing contact face of an iron base 1. A reflecting plate 3 covering the luminous section of the halogen lamp 2 is formed into nearly a parabolic shape having a focal point at the luminous center of the halogen lamp 2 on the cross section perpendicular to the iron base 1 and containing the center of the halogen lamp 2 so that all the light with high energy density generated by the halogen lamp 2 can be efficiently collected on the iron base 1. The temperature rise speed to the usage temperature is remarkably improved.
