PURPOSE: To provide the light image forming material having excellent water resistance and transparency.

CONSTITUTION: This light image forming material consists of a base, a light image forming layer formed by applying a coating liquid contg. either of microcapsules enclosing both of oxidation color developable leuco dyes and a photooxidizing agent and microcapsules enclosing an emulsion formed by emulsion dispersion after dissolution of a reducing agent into an org. solvent insoluble or hardly soluble in water or reducing agent on the case and drying the coating, and ≥1 layers of protective layers provided on the light image forming layer. At least one layer of the protective layers contain a silicone resin as an essential component.
