PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light intensity calculation method and the like that can make highly accurate measurements with data fluctuation in a light analysis device by a LOT suppressed.SOLUTION: A light intensity calculation method, which uses a light analysis device having a portable type electronic instrument including an optical detection unit to calculate light intensity of observation light incident upon the optical detection unit and from a measurement sample, includes: an observation light incident step of making the observation light incident upon the optical detection unit; an image acquisition step of recording the observation light incident upon the optical detection unit as a digital image; a threshold determination step of determining a threshold of a luminance value owned by each pixel of the digital image recorded in the image acquisition step; a signal area determination step of determining an area to be occupied by the pixel in which the luminance value is equal to or larger than the threshold as a signal area; and a light intensity calculation step of calculating light intensity of the observation light on the basis of only the luminance value within the signal area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
