Abstract:
To provide a light irradiation device and an algae cultivation device capable of improving light utilization efficiency.SOLUTION: A light irradiation device includes: a diffusion light generation part having a light diffusion surface for diffusing an irradiated light or a light emission surface in a light source extending in a linear direction; a wall part arranged with a space from the diffusion light generation part, which transmits the light; and a sealing part for sealing a space including the diffusion light generation part with the wall part. The light irradiation device includes a diffusion light irradiation part for irradiating the light that has passed through the space and reached the wall part to the outside from the wall part surface, the area of the wall part surface being larger than the area of the light diffusion surface or the light emission surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
