Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light display device which does not include an electronic device, is easy to manufacture, and is a robust totally optical device.
SOLUTION: The optical luminescence display device 30 can be manufactured without electronic parts by irradiating a simultaneous excitation type luminescence material 36 with a light having different wavelength and generating visible light. The address specification of individual dot is made possible and visible light can be emitted selectively if constituting the device so that dots of luminescence materials 36 arranged in a matrix state can be simultaneously irradiated with light of two different wavelength bands. Concretely, radiation sections of two side plane radiation type optical fiber 32 are arranged so as to oppose each other at their intersection part, and a dot consisting of the simultaneous excitation type luminescence material 36 is held between them. The dot of the intersection part can be made to selectively emit light by propagating light of different wavelength bands in the optical fiber 32.
