Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizer having a non-polarization part capable of realizing a multi-functionalization and a high-functionalization of an electronic device such as a picture display unit, the polarizer excellent in size stability and external appearance of the non-polarization part.SOLUTION: A polarizer includes a resin film containing a dichroic substance. The resin film includes a non-polarization part in a predetermined position. The non-polarization part is a thin wall part thinner than other parts in the resin film. In one embodiment, the non-polarization part includes a recess where the resin film is recessed at a surface on one side thereof. The depth of the recess is 2 μm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
