Abstract:

PURPOSE: To attain multi-function and to exclude the effect of an external disturbance light by providing a light receiving element in the photodetector using a burst carrier.

CONSTITUTION: A light emitting element 30 is mounted on a printed circuit board 7 with a light receiving element 4 mounted thereon. The light receiving element 4 is molded by an expoxy resin with a visual light interrupt agent. Then a lens 33 collecting a light to the light receiving element 4 is made of an engineering plastic with an infrared ray interrupt agent to form an optical band pass filter. A sensing function is added by driving the light emitting element 30 and using the light receiving element 4 to detect a reflected light from an object to be sensed.
