To provide a light and shade watch which is capable of displaying the shade images of the hour and the minute like visions, to enable a user to enjoy the shade images and is highly visual interest oriented by utilizing light sources using electricity, forming the shade image of the hour as a short shade image and the shade image of the minute as a long shade image and forming the hour and the minute from the chromatic light sources as the shade images as if the hands of the watch.

This light and shade watch is provided at least with the plural light sources N1, N2 moving in the circumferential direction of the dial 9 according to the lapse of the hour, the minute, etc., and a shade image forming body 8 erected and formed at the central point of the dial 9 in order to form the projected images by these N1, N2. The irradiation angle to this shade image forming body 8 by the light sources moving in correspondence to the lapse of the minute among the plural light sources N1, N2 is the angle longer than the shade image based on the light source moving in correspondence to the lapse of the hour.
