To provide a light shieldable photosensitive material roll which makes cylindrical parts of flank light shielding members hardly removable from a winding core of the photosensitive material roll and provides high manufacturing stability.

The light shieldable photosensitive material roll has the photosensitive material roll which is formed by winding a long-sized photosensitive material sheet around the circumference of the hollow winding core, the flank light shielding members which are respectively attached to both ends of the winding core of the photosensitive material roll and consists of flange parts having a radius greater than the radius of the photosensitive material roll and the cylindrical parts and a light shielding leader which is joined to the front end of the long-sized photosensitive material sheet of the photosensitive material roll and has the length longer than the circumference of the flange parts of the flank light shielding members and the width broader than the width of the long-sized photosensitive material sheet, in which both ends of the light shielding leader come into contact with the inner flanks of the light shielding member. The regions of the cylindrical part of the flank light shielding members coming into contact with the inner side of the winding core of the photosensitive material roll are partly molded of a thermoplastic elastomer resin.
