PURPOSE: To provide a light shielding adjusting mechanism capable of easily and desirably adjusting light shielding, and an image forming device.
CONSTITUTION: This light shielding adjusting mechanism is provided with plural light shielding plates in the length direction of a halogen lamp having specified length and radiating light toward an original. The mechanism is provided with a base substrate 1 having one surface side to which a light source is attached, a 1st adjusting pin 5 rotatably fixed on the base substrate 1 through a spring 9, a base plate 15 driven by the rotation of the 1st adjusting pin 5 and linearly moving, a light shielding plate 30a shielding the light at least by projecting from the base substrate 1, and a 2nd adjusting pin 33 piercing a hole 31 bored on the light shielding plate 30a and a hole 17 bored on the base plate 15 and fixed on the base substrate 1 so that it can rotate and is energized by a spring. The light shielding plate 30a linearly moves in a direction where it is projected or retreated from the base substrate 1 together with the base plate 15 by the rotation of the 1st adjusting pin 5, while only the light shielding plate 30a is turned by the rotation of the 2nd adjusting pin 33.
