Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a light source device for the endoscope wherein connector insertion openings are securely fixed and the supply of illumination light to the endoscope is not interrupted in an endoscope light source device which has a movable connector receiver where plural connector insertion openings are formed. CONSTITUTION:The light source device for the endoscope is provided with a movable receptacle 3 which has the connector insertion openings 10 and 20 where different-shape illumination light guide connectors 100 of the endoscope are inserted and extracted and provided movably so that the connector insertion openings 10 and 20 can be aligned with the optical axis 9 of illumination light emitted by a light source lamp, a fixing mechanism 32 which mechanically fixes the movement of the movable connector receiver 3 at the position where the connector insertion openings 10 and 20 are aligned with the illumination optical axis 9, and a fixation releasing mechanism 37 which releases the fixation state of the movable connector receiver 3 by the fixing mechanism 32.
