To provide a light source device capable of emitting bright illumination light and changing colors of wavelength conversion light, through improvement of utilization efficiency of the wavelength conversion light emitted toward a side of excitation light irradiation of a wavelength conversion member.
The device includes a movement means for moving a plurality of wavelength conversion members, each of which is so structured capable of moving across a light path of excitation light by the movement means. When the wavelength conversion members are located on the light path of the excitation light, if an area not overlapping the wavelength conversion members on a second opening of a reflecting member is to be an opening area upper a reflecting member, a wavelength conversion light propagation area continued from a first opening of the reflecting member to the opening area upper the reflecting member is provided for emitting the wavelength conversion light at least reflected once at a reflecting part from a second area.
